Becca Brown (they/them/theirs) is a Filipinx-Jewish actor, musician, comedian, and writer. They have been performing guitar since the age of 4. In the 4th grade, Becca performed on the NPR show From the Top, which eventually led to their being discovered and cast in the 2003 film School of Rock. Since their brief stint of child stardom, Becca has been a prominent force in Chicago's theatre scene, having performed in Gerard Alessandrini's Spamilton, a parody of Hamilton, and the Chicago premiere of American Idiot. Becca has worked with The Second City in Chicago on several sketch revues and has performed improv, sketch, and standup at iO, Laugh Factory, and many more staples of the Chicago comedy scene. Becca is the 2018-2019 LookOut Producing Apprentice at Steppenwolf Theater Company and is a company member of Firebrand Theatre. Becca is an alum of School at Steppenwolf, Second City and iO's training centers, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Becca is a proud SAG and AEA member represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent.
